Allan Kass does an up close cover, which is unique for an earlier illustration. The couple is definitely the focal point and we have a handsome romantic scene set here. I like the hero's gray/blue coat and the heroine's two toned empire dress. Note how Allan gets the physicality of their bodies just right!
